This week we talked about all the new, and exciting announcements on what’s planned for the next couple of years as Epcot goes through a dramatic transformation. Disney says this new concept for Epcot is something that’s “more Disney, more family, and more timeless. ”
The “more timeless” is the part that stuck with us the most as they’ll be moving to rename the “Future World” half of the park, and divide that into three new themed areas; World Discovery, World Celebration, and World Nature to go along with the already existing World Showcase.
Disney also unveiled a new look logo for Epcot that feels like Classic Epcot, but with a modern feel to it.
Just outside of the newly reimagined Spaceship Earth in World Celebration will be the new home to a state of art Festival Center for special events.
As part of the transformation in World Nature, a new walkthrough attraction based on Moana called “Journey of Water” is planned to open in 2021.
And while we don’t have many details about the attraction itself, a new ride and themed area based on Mary Poppin’s is coming to the United Kingdom pavilion at Epcot’s World Showcase.
